DISTRICT POLICE DODA ORGANISED VOLLEY BALL TOURNAMENT UNDER CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME 2017/18 | KNO

DODA (KNO) : Doda Police under the command of SSP Doda Sh. Mohd Shabir organised a Volley Ball Tournament at Govt Hr. Sec. School Bhagwah under Civic Action Programme 2017-18 . In the tournament 04 teams from Kastigarh, Gurmal , Bhagwah A , and Bhagwa B participated . The final match of the tournament was played between Gurmal and Bhagwa-A which was won by Gurmal .

A large number of peoples were present on the occasion to witnesses the event. The event was inaugurated by Sh. Iftkhar Ahmed Dy. SP Hqrs Doda . Dy. SP Hqrs in his address said that main objective of organizing such events under CAP is to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youths towards sports and other constructive activities.

On this occasion Sandeep Kumar Singh Major 10RR, Ram Singh ZEO Bhagwah , IC PP Bhagwa Mohd Rakib and other respectable of the area were present. The teams were awarded with trophies and medals.The general Public of the area appreciated the role of Doda Police in strengthening Police-Public relations ,and to channelized the energy of youth in positive way.

Moreover, Dy. SP Hqrs. Doda along with I/C PP Bhagwah convened a Police Public meeting at Bhagwah, which was attended by 100/120 people including prominent citizens, Sarpanches and Panches of Bhagwah area. During the course of meeting, the participants put forth their genuine demands viz Shortage of medical staff at PHC Bhagwah, Shortage of Drinking water and electricity supply in the area.

The participants were assured that their demands will be taken up with the concerned departments for redressal . However, the participants were stressed upon the maintain peace and Communal Harmony in the area.(KNO)
